    Been sick

Hey guys, been pretty sick for the past 2 and a half weeks and I managed to lose 13 lbs.... this worries me a bit. Typically it wouldn't if I could manage to pack it on again which I've been at it for a week now and haven't managed to gain a single freaking pound. Just thinking about it pisses me off. I'm trying to achieve my goal of 190 to start my Test E cycle, however, at this rate I'll literally NEVER get there.

I've been eating close to 3.6K calories a day with good carbs and protein in between. My diet shouldn't be the problem as I've put on weight in the past fairly easy with it.

I'm thinking of taking a mass gainer such as ON's Serious Mass or BSN True Mass. What are some thoughts on my weight problem?

Keep in mind, I have gained weight in the past with my current diet regime, which is even better now due to the amount of protein I've upped it to.

    -Cheers!

Most of those weight gainers are simple sugar and empy cals...real food is a much better option. perhaps change your ratio of P/C/F and up your carbs. Where are you at now??

You gotta give it more than a week. I lost 36lbs when i was hospitalized and it took me 3 months to get that back. And that was my normal everyday weight.continue to eat right and maybe throw in a shake here and there. I got frustrated as well and opted for creatine for a little boost. It helped.

    Be patient, you'll get there.

    Good Luck

I have been eating and training ever since I recovered. I was out for about 2 and a half weeks, however now I'm back and going stronger and more strict with my diet.

Real food would be great! I agree, although I just don't have the time to eat/prepare all these meals. I do eat a good lump of calories through real food every day. I'm at 147 and was at 161...

Glad to hear you're back in action and doing better. That's an awful lot of weight to lose but 3 months is a good deal of time. I lost nearly half that but in a sixth of the time lol >.< All I can do is be patient but I was a little concerned. I'm Scandinavian so my metabolism is through the roof as well.

I appreciate all the feedback and responses guys!

Just read up on the cholesterol levels in the Pure Mass from BSN. I'm not sure if it's HDL or LDL Cholesterol, however, 140mg is somewhat substantial, as I try to keep it under a minimum of 200mg daily. I wouldn't mind ingesting 140mg of cholesterol for 800 or so calories though. Doesn't seem like too big of an issue.

It is alot cholesterol when you consider the diets we keep in this lifestyle. Really high. Just as my recent BW. The question earlier was aimed at "did you eat as much as you stated WHILE you were sick"? That is normal to lose alot of weight if you cant maintain your calories. If I skimp out just a few days, I can lose alot of weight, like 5 or more pounds in a couple of days.

Ahh, the question I then answered incorrectly. I didn't eat even close to what I was and am now again eating. That explain why I lost a lot of weight, however, MY question is why can't I put it back on?? It took me around two and a half weeks to put on 10-11 lb's and now in one and a half week I can't even gain a single lb... not ONE.
