    Shaved my beard...

Had been keeping a beard up nice and trim for the last three months but I was starting to get a lot of blond hairs in it.

So I shaved it and started it from scratch. Now I look like I'm f*cking 12. I hate it. I don't think people take me seriously without my beard.

    Who keeps up a beard?

I grow from sept to mid march. Was trimming the sides with a 3 guard and letting the chin grow. Had some nice length until my wife informed me I was not an outlaw biker. And had to trim it down to a 4. It does look better.

It really has to match your face and also your hair style in some cases. I knew a guy with longer hair for a guy with a full on beard and it looked pretty cool because he looked like Jesus.

I keep it to a 2 and shave under the chin and neck. Girls love it. I guess it's like a long well kept scruff more than a full on 'beard'

I've kept a beard up for the last 2 years I believe. I trim it to a short to mid length in the summer months and mid to longer in the winter..last time I was beardless, I didn't feel like myself.

Ok let me tell you "get a crack" means you would get chinned or as its known most commonly slapped or the preferred way punched :-)

Mine was getting pretty awesome, but then started to feel too grungy, didn't want to be associated with some of the other people where I live. I trimmed it a little and hated it so shaved all but goatee. Going to grow it back now, hope I can get through the retarded stage fast. Need at least two inches on it. Was over three when I trimmed.

Maybe I should take an England trip when it comes back.

I do and have for 6 years, but its trimed once a week to 1.5, and edged using a straight razor, also neck is clean. In the Middle East facial hair is necessary

I keep a clean, edged, and closely trimmed beard. I definitely look a lot younger without it, though at my age that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes I get bored and just do the goatee and sideburns for a few weeks before the beard returns.

And when I don't have to go to work... I simply stop shaving. I hate it.

Wow getting punched for having a beard sounds pretty f*cking retarded if you ask me.
