    STUPID pin question!!!

    Hey guys,

I know this is STUPID but I have to know if I am doing something completely wrong. When I pin in the back of my tris I get a really smooth inject however when I pin in my delts not so much. What am I doing wrong. I go with the slow ans steady approach to pinning, I find and prep my inject site and then set the pin in that location breathe smoothly and slowly push in. When I go into my tris it almost melts like butter. Literally almost no pain once I break the skin and then a smooth slide all the way to depth. When I do into my delts I do not have this luck, I get through the skin and then a start to get a pain once I am roughly 1/16-1/8th in (through skin and "fat) i feel a change in density and a pain. I am in the middle of my center delt I eventually find a location that is not bad after an attempt or 2. My question is are my delts just a lot more sensitive then my tris or an I getting into a nerve? I have never pushed though the pain I usually just move and repin, but this seems to be a real issue in my delts. Any idea what my problem is? I know I am going to get sh*t about deal with the pain and I do not care about the pain I just want to make sure I am not pushing into something I shouldn't.

    Thanks

Delts are my favorite and find it nearly painless so Im having trouble relating. Plus its such an easy and stable spot, tris are more of a reach. Can you try and be specific about exactly where you are pinning? (How far down?) My only theory is you are somehow missing the muscle... I know you said you dont pin through the pain but have you ever and noticed substantial leaking? Have you aspirated? Have you tried the other delt?

Also, what size pin are you using? 1/16th of a needle is surely not into the muscle yet...

I have this same thing when I pin my trt every week. I only get it when I'm pushing the needle in slow. I'm assuming it is merely a second jolt of pain from the needle piercing the muscle. Much like the initial jolt when the needle breaks the skin.

Same here Delts are the best spot for me.
and you have to got through the density thats you going into the mucle, thats a IM shot.

never pinned tris so cant say.

only done glutes, delts (middle and front delt) and quads (hate em)

I feel i have more contorl on whats going on. just putting it in is like 10-20sec's then to pin another 30-1min.

I have the same issue. My tris can take 3cc's like nothing but my delts swell a bit after that amount. It also stings more when I hit my delts, maybe just more nerve endings? I still pin my delts as much as anything else.

Yeah I use that same process. I pin slow and controlled. But like I stated I can feel the needle break the skin it's smooth for a second then another little bit of pain that I always assumed was from the penetration into the muscle. Glutes or quads it's the same feeling just different depths that I get that second little pulse of pain.

When I shoot in my delts they crackle.... Hurt more then anywhere else in my body too.. Prob from too much scar tissue. Now I usually take at least 3cc at a time so I prefer to inject in my thighs.

When shooting delta I pick a spot that is about an inch to the rear from the center of my shoulder.

This is exactly what I am feeling, do you push through the 2nd pain? I am assuming I am just hitting the muscle, but I just question it because of my sucess with my tri's going so smoothly.

    Thanks.

Human Project I am only 3/4 through my first cycle pinning 1cc so scare tissue is not the issue in this case. I am just going to give it a push and see what happens. worst case I get blood and pull out.

I have tried pinning center mass off middle delt and high on middle delt. I have had more issues on left delt then right, but neither had been great. I am going to try my chest on sunday when I get back from my trip. Do not want to deal with virgin muscle PIP on my trip.
