I recall reading several times that because fish oil reduces inflammation, this could have a (negative) effect on one's muscle gains. Is this just broscience or is there some truth to it? I'm not really sure what to think.

I think you would be fine using it. Just like everthing else,,,moderation.
It has some anti-inflammatory properties but not as a primary function. Even NSAIDS and ibuprofen at less than 3g won't hinder gains.Originally Posted by samatash
Why would taking something w/ anti-inflammatory properties negate muscle gains? I mean I've read taking NSAID'S after weight training can hinder protein synthesis but fish oil and NSAID'S are totally different. Let's go ahead an chalk this up to bro-science!
