My friend has been on HRT protocol and his Dr. has changed things around quite a bit for him. He first started out on Androgel and never felt any better. His Dr. then decided to put him on Chlomid and Nolva to see if it would kick-start things. My friend never felt any better. His test levels went up slightly but nothing noticable. His last bloodwork showed an increase in E2 levels with this protocol.
Anyways, today his dr. finally decided to put him on Test C. The problem is that he put him on a twice monthly injection of 250mg each injection. My friend will be self-injecting and I tried to convince him to switch the protocol to 100mg/week either with 1 or 2 injections instead of only 2 injections per month to keep his levels stable. If he was having elevated E2 levels won't this potentially put him way higher as the test converts to E2? He also isn't taking anything to block the E2 conversion and he also isn't on HCG.
I'm trying to convince him:
a.) split the injections to once weekly at a minimum.
b.) Find a new Dr.
c.) ask current Dr. about E2 problems
d.) Ask about needing HCG
Thoughts??????
ps. This truly is for a friend and not for me. I started my own protocol that included bi-weekly injections, HCG, and E2 blocker.
