This is for the Crockpot
2 cups whole oats (not quick or instant) or steel cut
5 cups water
Cinnamon to taste, I use 2 tbsp
dash of nutmeg
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 apple grated
1 apple chopped
Combine all ingredients into crockpot, stir well. Cook on Low for eight hours. If you can, give it a stir half way through, and closer to the end as it likes to form a crust on top. consistency is like tapioca and tastes delicious.
