I think the misuse of words and constant misspelling of some words appears to be winding a number of people up. So please add whatever causes you to be chagrined!
I'll start
Loose =. Not tight
Lose = to misplace something eg fat
Threw = to chuck something
Through = short for throughout
Libido = correct spelling for labido
Their = pertaining to somebody
Brah = never to be used it is more incorrect than anything else that will be listed here

I get what he is saying. We should be able to speak and write like educated people. His examples are not short hand just incorrect grammar.

well u know my big one and already included it! considering this is a BB site and weight loss is one of the biggest factors, the misuse of the word loose is pathetic IMO.

I'm on board with this one. (that's right, I said I'm on board, not on bored)
Your = a reference to ownership of..... Example: your house, your body, your car, etc.......
Misuses = your an asshat, your crazy, your right, etc.........
You're = two words compounded to make on You + Are = You're. Proper uses: you're an asshat, you're crazy, you're right, etc........
Misuses = you're mom says hi, you're car is on fire, you're house is fvcking filthy, etc........
These are just a couple of many that drive me fvcking bat sh!t.
When I first joined this site, I wrote 100% short hand, I used numbers, symbols & abbreviations for EVERYTHING, it drove many members crazy, so I stopped, but I didn't do it because I didn't know how to spell or use words correctly, I did it to type faster. In my opinion, there is no excuse for misspelling, you're on a computer for Christ sakes, the damn thing tells when you misspelled something. Grammar on the other hand, well that just comes down to how much of your education you retained I guess.

Does it really save you much time? I use to type like that when I was in middle school and I wanted to seem cool. Most people that come on this board are 18+ and it's embarrassing to type like that. Misspellings of drugs really piss me off as well.

It actually does save quite a bit of keyboard time. At least for me it did, I could fire off 7 or 8 short hand messages in the time it would take me to "full type" out 4 or 5 messages.

I guess it just depends... I am typing emails and assessments all day long on the computer and for me, it would take longer to try to shorthand something than it would for me to type it out.

my biggest short cut i do is i dont capitalize anything and i usually dont use periods, punctuation marks, commas, etc,, mainly i just use the good ole "..." between sentences. in actuality itd be less work to only use 1 period so i dont know why i use 3... some kinda mind thing... i do make sure to put a space between sentences and punctuation marks. im pretty anal about that.
some abbreviations dont bother me.. those would be the ones i personally consider to be acceptable and made by an intelligent person. if i think ur stupid u get way less slack.. LOL..

I can't spell worth a fuk and I can't get the auto correct to work on my laptop while using this site. I used to have Austin proof read all of my posts but since he is around less you will all have to live will my spelling mistakes....
I do however like to use paragraphs because it's eaier to read then one jumbled run on sentence or running paragraph!
I apoligize in advance for any of my future spelling mistakes...there will be many I assure you!
