    Ezekial bread vs Rice

It would appear that the bread has less calories and less carbs when comparing 1 slice to half cup of brn rice!

Is there any disadvantage to this carb source one should be aware of?

It's good stuff. It's about the 'cleanest' bread you're going to find in terms of only being slightly processed. In fact they don't use flour at all... organic sprouted grains instead.

Yes...we got our first loaf the other night and started comparing it. It seems that a slice is a better option than a half cup of rice...and I love eating sandwiches! or toast with breakfast!

Most grocers carry Ezekiel bread, wraps, etc in the Organic Freezer section of the store. I live in Canada & I can find it almost anywhere. A bit costly, but well worth it.

Cottage cheese? Seriously? Now I absolutely love CC and eat it every day. But on pizza? That's pushing the edge of the envelope!

remove the lid and any foil that may still be remaining on top (you know the peel off foil they cover with sometimes) and microwave. Once warm it will easily mix and if u put in fridge it will stay mixed

I eat an Ezekiel muffin with my breakfast every morning. The bread is best toasted but if you dip it in egg white and use sugar free maple syrup its amazing!!

Food For Life (who puts out Ezekiel bread and an array of other great products) is an American company... not sure if they do business internationally but I can't see why not. Make sure you're looking in the freezer section. Due to being sprouted grains and minimal processing, you won't find this stuff sitting on a shelf in the bread aisle!

In the UK they just call it sprouted grain bread. Never seen it in a supermarket but readily available in health food stores. Personally I make my own bread nowadays.

I did put one in there the other day. It's not sprouted grain bread though. I'll put another one in for rye soda bread at the weekend too.

Made French toast and scrambled egg white this morn with it! Compared it to raw oats as well! 1 slice is less calories and less carbs than 1/2 cup of OATS!

Is there a better carb source??? I'm in love with Ezekial bread!

Variety is the spice of life big dog. Of course I still eat sweet potatoes and oats but sometimes you just need to indulge in the foods you love to get you through the day and hit your macros. Moderation is key. That's the way IIFYM works and ever since I've started I've been happier and enjoyed life more while still getting the same results as I did making myself miserable with the same "clean" foods every day.
