Getting Inked and missing some training...

Have a half sleeve on right that is 99% done - always details to work on as some of you know - and left sleeve is all but done except the inside bicep of the left arm.

The thing I hate most about getting work done in delicate areas like this is the down time for some healing...meaning disrupting my training schedule.

Look, I know it good for all of us to take 5 to 7 days off every few months but damn it's hard to do.

I have to wear this for the rest of my life and the healing time is critical so I can miss a few days...wondering what the rest of you guy do after a big session?

I know what Marcus did after he had his back done...he was right back at it and didn't miss a beat

The Foo Dog pic attached was done all in one sitting...all out line, shading and half of the color (and it hurt like shit!) but still work in progress and the pic doesn't do it justice.

I have to be more worried about my wife. After the first session I ruined two pillow cases. She was not pleased. Last 2 I was on the couch. Ahh to still be in love.

Keep it from drying up and scanning too soon. That's the only thing that would possibly cause any issues. Scabbing to soon then training will cause the scab to crack and cause loss if ink etc. but if you keep it conditioned properly with a&d ointment, then you'll be fine.

What BG said. Also maybe work on some problem areas (if you're like me) we just don't "find" time for.

I want the old avi back. You know, the girl in the bathroom. hahaha....

    My take is prolly similar

We have a cream over here called "bepanthen" IMHO this is the cream to use all these potions they off like tattoo goo etc are a waste of money if you can use the above cream or similar product and I will guarantee that in under a week it will have healed
I have a little bit of ink on my body and in the elbow creases I just kept them very moist and never lost ant ink but on the other hand if your artist is worth anything they should touch up for free
Really nice ink btw oriental is my favourite

    Thanks much

The Foo Dog is just part of entire Jap style half sleeve.

My artist is one of my best friends and he own his own shop for more than 20 years and is nationally known for his work so I am blessed in that regard.

Your advise is spot on BTW!
