Winstrol is by far my personal favorite compound, and I use it to some degree year around(with every cycle ir just trt). The biggest misconception about it is that it burns fat. While it certainly has great effects or "hardening" already lean muscle, you really wont benefit if you are higher in BF. It gives you that dry and hardened look, only if your already lean. It is beneficial on a calorie deficit, as it is pretty anabolic, and my strength goes through the roof!
As far as drinking it goes. This is what I've started to do. It is generally cheaper to buy the injectable version an a mg for mg basis, and it is the same for either administration. I do account for the bioavailability of injesting it, so I typically go 15-20% higher when taking it orally. Normally if I want to run 50mgs daily, ill use 60-70. Drinking it really is the way too go. No pain other than a horrid taste.
Lastly, it should typically be ran everyday, with eod being considered. Its going to wreck your lipids temporarily either way. I don't suggest going over 6 straight weeks unless you plan to pulse it. Even when pulsing, ill stop at 12 weeks to give my lipids and liver a break.
