NO> you won't die or anything but you can cause yourself to bleed allot under the shin. Can drag some compound into the vein, just a little, but very possible and that's not good with an IM substance. You should always avoid puncturing your vein, unless you want to IV, and then not go thru the other side....I Have experience, allot....crazy mike

I always try to avoid it. But sometimes I just can't see all my veins and just hope I don't go through it. But it won't hurt me if I do will it?

Going through a vein near the surface will just result in bruising.

Don't continue to do something that isn't working for you. Just find another spot. Plenty of sites to inject.
