Generation Iron: the good and bad

The way I see it is its good that bodybuilding will be more mainstream, people won't think its as weird as they used to and they will finally understand these dudes are probably the greatest athletes on earth. They literally take the body to its limits.

The bad.....EVERY DOUCHE AND HIS DOG ARE GONNA BE BODYBUILDERS, that's what I see happening. Suddenly because these people see this movie a whole new group of douche will enter the gym and suddenly be experts on the sport.

Also this forum membership will climb dramatically the hour after the movie. Quote me lol

I don't think it will push bbing into the ranks of mainstream. People will still view it as a sport of freaks(which is fine with me). I am super pumped for it though. Hopefully it will open the gates for more bbing based films an what nots...I do agree there will be a huge spike in know it all d bags lol. Bring on the bro science haha

Considering a BB while on stage for judging is as close to death as they ever come in there lives.............BB to me is more of a discipline...... and life choice

Its a sad thing, when you see a guy that misses the cut, because he was 12 hours off his peak...............example The latest Arnold classic............ Check out morning judging on Heavyweights verses night time show.............anyone jump out a ya?

Dont get me wrong when I say this because I have competed and may compete again. But its basically a beauty pageant. It is not healthy with gear diuretics fat burners sleep aids. I however love it and live it but dont fool yourself its not an athletic sport. It is a one person activity where you never see yourself as good enough. Extremely narcissistic. Again I love it.

I think bodybuilding and aas are already mainstream. My fear is that we are going to see younger and younger cycling.

Having not have competed I don't have much room to talk but I respect what these dudes go threw a heck of a lot more than pretty much any other sport.
