scared that my gyno is male breast cancer now... please help

hey guys, used gear (no armidex or anything like that, and only did PCT on one of the cycles) from the ages of 21-25 (im 27 now) and i have had gyno from the ages of 23 till present. my right nipple has the slightest lump, maybe the size of a very small raisin? but my left nipple/breast issue has a lump the size of a small-medium grape, and i swear it has grown slightly in the past couple months.

a couple months back i was feeling around my left nipple/breast area to check up on it, and thats when i noticed it was larger than the last time i touched it, now i am touching it all the time becoming paranoid that is metastasizing into male breast cancer. I recently got that bloodwork done which determines your blood count and antibodies and thyroid and things of that nature and everything came back normal, i also tested for my hormonal levels which came back within range.


where can i get this gyno biopsied from? a plastic surgeon? im really paranoid about this and need to have this resolved for my well being.. gyno surgery is expensive, and my insurance will cover some of it i think but the surgeons that cover it look really sketchy, their "work" on their website, you know their nose job before and afters look mediocre, and i dont want someone like that cutting into my tits. but then again these high class plastic surgeons cost no less than 5 grand. and i wont be able to afford that in a couple years (going through some financial issues, got laid off) so its like wtf you know.

Breast cancer doesn't metastasize to breast cancer, it metastasizes to other organs (lung, bone, brain are typical targets)

Have you had your doc examine the lump? A diagnostic scan would provide information on cell structure and metabolic activity (blood flow). From there a FNA (fine needle aspiration) could be performed and sent to a pathologist for histopathological analysis.

my gp "examined" it last year, just felt around, but he kind of brushed it off like it was no big deal..

what kind of a doctor do i need to go to to get a diagnostic scan and a FNA?

Your GP can refer you for a scan. Depending on the dx scan, the GP may have the radiologist perform an image guided biopsy or refer you to a specialist (oncologist). Normally a referral would come after a biopsy. If the mass has positive margins it could be surgically removed if necessary.

I would tell your GP the lump has changed in size and is causing you discomfort. That will likely prompt a scan at least.

Get from? I doubt it. But before I was put on hrt they did tests to make sure I was cancer free because they stated it could accelerate the growth of cancer cells.

Men are prone to breast cancer though the incidence rates are quite low. Many forms of breast cancer are linked to estrogen, progesterone, and human epidermal growth factors, specifically Neu, ErbB-2, CD340 or p185 protein. There are cases of breast cancer however where none of these genes are involved (called triple negative breast cancer).

Steroids are hormones. Any change in the natural level of hormones increases risk for negative effects. Excessive levels of hormones (such as those brought on by anabolic use) have been linked to some cancers BUT there isn't enough long term data on the safety of androgen manipulation.

A more recent study published in Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology showed that treatment with anabolic agents in mice caused a dose-dependent increase of aromatase expression estradiol production, and induction of genes which promote breast cancer cell proliferation (growth).

I'm only stating facts here. The data are far from conclusive and I'm not trying to scare you into thinking you have a tumor.

If it is increasing in size and causing physical (or emotional) discomfort, asking the doc for a dx scan to evaluate will at least give you peace of mind.

I went through a similar problem and went for a ultrasound on my chest and they can tell if it's gyno or cancer just by looking at it. Turned out its just mild gyno on one side

Go to a Dr. I have a great friend who got breast cancer, but was caught in time. Good luck with it. MI can lead the way!

Barbarian, go see a different doctor if you're not satisfied with what this one said.

I don't want to scare you, but it does happen to men. Peter Criss from Kiss had breast cancer. But it's not that common. It's probably just gyno that you had, but still get it looked at again.
