Can company's "lie" about what's in their product? I know they aren't regulated by anyone so they can pretty much market and sell anything. But they can't lie about what's in there, can they? They can just the scientific names and proprietary blend.

You sort of answered this question yourself simply by acknowledging the lack of regulations in the supplement industry. What I commonly see is many companies using the term "proprietary blend" for some ingredients without listing the actual ingredients.
Was there something you seen recently that raised this question in your mind?

I have asked the guy at the counter what it is, he couldn't tell me then asked if they just sell bulk of the pure product and he said no so I just left everything on the counter and walked out.
Yes.

Yes it can pretty much be anything. Some may disagree, but I thought there was a good little segment on the movie bigger stronger faster on this. You can Probably find it on you tube.
And lie they do. Er, bend the truth perhaps.
Lying is different then being sneaky. Proprietary blend isn't lying, it's just not admitting everything. So if that isn't written and all the actual ingredients are written one by one. Could they like about the actual ingredients in the container?
Everything has me wondering. Plus my brother just yelled at me for taking amino acids and a pre workout. Haha
It's not quite regulated. So anything goes really. For them it's all good until someone gets hurt.

So they can really say that A, B, C are in this particular product but it's actually X, Y, Z?
