Just got my first George Foreman Grill

Took me long enough to pick up one of these, always had used a standard outdoor BBQ in the past but I got sick of baking chicken during ugly Canadian winters. Anyways, I was just curious if the "grilling guide" in the instruction manual is fairly accurate. Also, anything else I should know, perhaps about cleaning and whatnot?

    IMO george foreman grills suck!

now they do cook the food but they should not be called a "grill" IMO.. its like frying something in a pan with ridges on both sides at the same time. if ur looking for it to be like when u cook on the grill outside u will be disappointed..

It's a Ribbed Hot Pan, for your pleasure.

I use mine all the time during the winter. Recently, I brought it to work and started 'grilling' steaks there. People were looking at me funny and you could tell they were bothered by it for some reason... as if I was the one doing something weird... eating a natural piece of meat while they microwave another frozen piece of shit.

The deception =(. Ah well I only have two frying pans at home that are a pain to clean anyways. I do like how it is portable in any case.

Did not think about panini's and the like - great idea.

    Thanks for the replies yall.

I got sick and tired of grilling and switched to broiling my chicken the last few months. Quick and easy, IMO.
