    Question Muscle Rest Time?

    Hi,

How much time is needed for a muscle to rest before I blast it again at the gym? I don't need regimen advice. I just need to know if I need more than 48 hours of rest. I've heard that 72 is optimum, but 48 is sufficient. I'm hoping for what I'm doing this month that 48 is enough.

Do steroids speed up the repair/growth of muscles?

    Thank you.

AAS definitely promotes faster recovery and healing. Thats how you grow quicker and become stronger, provided your diet is in check.

I hit the same muscle group 2x a week, which is alot for me.

I agree that a minimum 48 hours rest is needed before hitting the muscle grouup again.....

Depends on the muscle. Sometimes I will wait two weeks or more with legs if I really cooked 'em. I don't train anything more than once a week. It's when we rest that we grow.

Legs recover fast. You can hit them 2x a week. Even if still sore, hit em anyway. That soreness will decrease. I was doing legs 3x a week the first year I lifted

When your training heavy you have to take the CNS condition in to account. The muscle may be healed but the CNS hasn't recovered yet. You may expect a good workout but have a crappy one due to the CNS not fully recovered yet.

I like using the 72 hour rule, each body part twice weekly for me.
I will be doing arms every 48 hours next cycle to see how they respond.

I'm trying the 48 hour thing for upper body. It seems to be working out well. In 10 days my shirts are noticeably tighter. Yet I am slightly sore when I first start working out. I'm not used to being sore like this right from the beginning. I wanted be sure I wasn't over training.

I have had 48hrs and 72hrs between working muscle grops had succeess with each. I have never used gear. 48 hrs. before hitting the same muscle group again should be sufficient. Yes AAS lessen recovery time.
