You're all heart and I imagine your tune would have changed if it was Australian citizens living on the Falklands Islands.

Clarky, no apparently not, she is going to have a Ceremony much in the same vein as the Queen Mother had.

Easily the best Prime Minister the UK had since Churchill. Britain was on it's knee's in the 70's and she gave it the kick up the arse that it needed. She was pro american, pro democracy, pro free market and pro less government control.

Despite her great relationship with Ronald Reagan, she is the only Prime Minister to stand up to America when the Falklands War kicked off. Reagan urged her not to go ahead, but she respectively told him that it was a British matter that she would deal with.

    This is a great video:

She gave everyone the option of affordable housing
She had balls and stood by her guns
I was thinking as Tories are in right now a bank holiday would be called for her funeral.
    Amazing strong woman

Yep and unfortunately memories are short. I've already seen a lot of hate towards her death online, from people probably sitting in a house that was only made possible because of her. She stopped the Trade Unions from holding the country to ransom as well. She said Britain should never join the Euro and she has always been against the idea of a single currency. And look at the utter mess the EURO ZONE is in now because of the Euro. It's not a matter of just letting the likes of Greece or Cyprus go bankrupt as that has massive ramifications for the rest of Europe, us and even the Global Economy. She was instrumental in the end of the Cold War. It'll be a long time before the UK, or the Western World, see's anyone like her again.

You people have no idea what its like to look back at history and see someone with true conservative spirit in Europe. In my opinion, she was a breath a fresh air to all that is the European zone of Socialist Democracy in action, which is little more than communist policies with a dash of liberal freedoms, but they are very much illusory. She was a sole advocate of laissez faire economics to grow a country and to make it more free. There is a very credible study which shows that countries with higher GDP's tend to be more democratic and less free, whilst those with lower GDP's, less free and less democratic. Unfortunately, the idea of democracy has been hijacked by the liberal socialists in Europe, it is a shame to see the path the continent has gone down. But LOOK at what the UK has now because of Margaret Thatcher, one of the best performing currencies when compared to the USD or EU.
