I had one guy tell me to do it some bull about but they recover during the day so do it again at night and you'll grow while your asleep, I sometimes hit the weights in the morning then in the arvo go do some cardio but rarely...Never trained 2x in a day with weights and probably wont on or off cycle.
I did it in a lot when I was younger and had great results. Lately I tried it in an attempt to get past a plateau and felt like I was over training. You should have better results since your using gear and I have yet to gear up. I have seen a lot of power lifters and body builders use it with awesome results and their my age and older.
When i had more time I would work out 1 body part and do cardio. Go home do a few things, eat etc. etc. take a nap for 1-1 1/2 hours and go hit 1 body part as some more cardio. Did if for 1 month and dropped 15lbs of fat and gained 4lbs of LBM and wasn't on any gearOriginally Posted by tigerspawn
I would say just make sure u get enough food and enough sleep if u do it
I’m not saying you will only benefit from two a days if you use gear. I have never used gear and I got great results from it. I just haven’t had results from trying it lately. My weight stays about the same even thou my BF% goes down. I’m saying that he should get great results from it because gear helps you recover faster and the main problem with two a days is over training.
Only if one of those workouts is Cardio only. Otherwise forget it.

at 34 I can make it about 3 days doing 2 a day and I mean cardio in the am. I usually need a day off by 4
Was doing it for a while.
i.e
Legs AM Cardio AM Chest PM Cardio PM
Lasted about 5 weeks. Then the Tren kicked in, and cardio went to shit, as well as sleep. So now just Lift PM cardio PM My joints really strted hurting also.
But I am 34 yrs old.
When I was younger and had the time I would lift early in the day then do cardio later on that night. It worked out really well.
I don't know how you can fit it in your schedule to workout twice a day.

Unless your talking about something like biceps in the AM and triceps in the PM.
Or shoulders in AM and then calve training only in PM
then sure go ahead if you have the time. You will have more energy and wont be out of energy in your pm workout. But if your trying to train the same muscle group again, that wont work
I find i make progress better on the first lifts i do because by the time im at the end of my workout im tired. So sure splitting completely different muscle le groups into 2x a day might work... But who has the time for that...
But if u think of doing chest in an and shoulders or triceps in pm , then that wont work in my opinon... R atleast be any superior to what 1x day training

What does the proposed work out look like ?
If your first WO is done at the intensity that it should be then there's no way your CNS could handle that again with another body part later in the day.
No need imo. Overkill even on cycle. I do this split:
chest and arms
Legs
back and delts
off
repeat
more than enough frequency and you don't have to train twice a day.
