Numb, tingling pain in my left arm

So, Thurs. afternoon I awoke from a nice nap and plopped my ass on the couch to watch a bit of TV. After sitting there for a few minutes I experienced a pain start radiating from my shoulder to my finger tips on my left arm. My entire arm went numb abd my hand was tingeling. I immediatly started being concerned about my heart. I had no other symptoms though.

I ended up going in to the ER several hours later where they did a blood test, EKG and CT. All was good but the CT showed a possible issue with my C5. Possible buldging and hitting a nerve ugggg!

Testerday I went in for an MRI but will not know the results till after the weekend. There is still numbness in my hand and finger tips! Ibuprofin seems to help a bit..

No trauma or anything...just sitting and BAM!

Ice baby ice. Ibprofin helps because it's reducing the inflammation. Ice will do a better job and be longer lasting.

    20 minutes on, 20 minutes off 3x in a row 2-3x a day.

Stay away from overhead lifting and trap exercises for a while. I have dealt with this kind of pain for years finally got a disc replacement at c5 c6 a few years ago and it did the trick. I still can't do upright rows or lateral dumbbell raises without paying the price of spasms. Im not saying to run out and get surgery that's a last resort. There are also some good nerve blocking meds out there lyrica and neurontin to name a few. Neurontin made me an emotional wreck but lyrica works good for me. Keep us posted with your MRI results and good luck.
