    My Fitness Pal

    The my fitness pal app has me eating 1700 cals a day to lose 2 pounds a week but if i burn 300 cal in the gym it says i can eat that back and still lose weight
    .....is this true???

    Stick at 1700 with a macro split of 50/30/20 (p/c/f). Maybe consider dropping 30% of your carbs on non workout days.

    So eat 1700 cals a day even if i burn 500 in the gum

    You're correct in thinking that by eating only 1700 calories, and then burning 500 at the gym, you've effectively only eaten 1200 calories.

    How much of a deficit are you in by eating at 1700?

    Moderate activity is taken into account in the 1700cals. Don't eat what you burn in the gym else you'll get nowhere.
