well, I go in tomorrow to interview new doctors, specifically asking about if they have any experience with TRT, and if they are open to working with me to set up a proper protocol. My biggest concern is to get off of Androgel. I don't have new numbers yet (I have my 6 week bloodwork tomorrow too), but I am very concerned with transferrence, as I have two young kids. I'll be breezing over the stickies to come up with some questions to ask. Wish me luck.

Why not just call and speak to his staff? Ask them if he's open to treating you how you like. Advise them you'd rather ask via phone that waste their time and yours with an appointment if the answer is going to be no.

Just be straight forward with him. Tell him you've done your research and you feel that you would be much better off with injecting at home. Let him know you don't have a needle phobia and your concerns about gel. Hope everything works out for you.

I found that the staff will lie to keep the schedule full. Guarantees them a job when the schedule is full.

I need a new doctor anyway, my current doc is 4 months out, and I now have pretty severe medical needs since my accident, and will want someone who I can get in and see a little quicker. The insurance I have is pretty strict with who you can see.

Think I might have found my new doctor, he seems to be open to learning about putting together a proper protocol, and straight up said he would like to learn more about if it can help make some of his TRT patients feel better. He was definitely open to getting me on shots, although he mentioned something like 100ml once a month to start. Seems really low, but I know nothing about injection protocol, so I will now go read up. Question for Kel or GD (even though I will be looking through the stickies), where is a good jumping off point as far as amount of Test Cyp. I know it depends person to person, and I'm already on Androgel, but I figure there has to be a decent safe starting point that I can suggest, and studies to back it up.

Honestly, if your doc insists on a once-a-month injection, I'd stick with the gel until you can find a more knowledgeable dr. This type of protocol is archaic and won't help you at all. Trust me...been there, done that.

That I understand Rusty, but he said he's open to looking at new information and putting a different protocol together. That's why I asked about what a safe jump off point would be for shots. I tried calling a couple times "low_testosterone" and never got through.
