    %BF Necessary and Other ???'s

What is the max %bf recommended before cycling? I'm 51 so is a cycle of gear even a viable option at this age? I have never cycled before so it would be the first time. I am on trt already so is a PCT even required (if I understand PCT correctly it is to keep you from going sterile)? I am very interested in doing at least a few cycles but I want to do it right. Currently 200lbs and ~23% (which I know is to high to cyce). I have trained with off and on since I was 16 but I also know I have not taken it as far as I could naturally. But I also know I'm not getting any younger. I have been biking for about three weeks and eating very clean. I have lost 18 pounds in three weeks and starting to look halfway decent again! Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I have been reading through the forum but it is a bit overwhelming at times with all the info. Things have changed (diet/sup's) dramatically in the last 8-10 years since I was really active in the sport.

By having lower bf you create a more natural anabolic environment for your gear to work. Plus having lower bf you should have less sides. On top of that, if your diet isnt tight (which having 23% tells me that) you will gain more bf from your appetite increasing and hold more water.

Hit up the nutritional section, let them sort out your diet and increase your cardio. You will be ready to cycle in no time with some dedication and hard work.

I wouldn't cycle over 15% body fat. And if you're on TRT you would just go back to your normal levels when you're done. It's not to stop sterility pct is to regenerate your body's natural production of test which you don't need to worry about.
If you're losing weight stick to a good diet and training then hit the gear when you're in better shape. You have to be trained and in good shape when you start so you avoid injuries

To many years of being a couch potato and bad dieting. The good news is I started at 220 lbs and 30% bf 3 weeks ago so it is coming off. Now that I'm treating my low t and hypothyroid I find I can once again lose weight rather easily (much like when I was in my 20's). It has also greatly increased my attitude from one of not really caring about much of anything to being excited about many things. It was like going from a black and white world to one of color. Although the colors aren't as rich and bright as they will be once I get my trt/thyroid issues dialing in it is much better than it was last year. Thanks for the advice!

Fifteen percent is about what I was thinking it would need to be at. Speaking of inmuries, I had a very nasty case of tendonosis in my right forearm/elbow which frustrated me to no end from working out. I have been using TB-500 for a while now and it is starting to make a world of difference!

^^ Yep I agree. I'll tell you forget the concern of age. Just make sure you are in shape as chiveon said. I am 61 bud, yep 61yrs old and this is great. Do it right get you AI in order get your pct in order plan a good cycle for a 1st timer, run it by the forum and good luck. But I'm cycling at my age. Oh I took 25 yrs off and did nothing but couch and substances and I'm back ...crazy mike
