    Dead lift

    How should i do dead lift [ medium grip or close grip ] ?

    If you are just starting I would do what is most natural/comfortable that allows you to maintain perfect form for each rep. Then once you get into a good progress on that particular style, maybe switch grip and/or pull techniques to stimulate different fibers.

    I would consider "Medium" (assuming this is 2-3 inches from hips) to be the baseline style.

    Variations include:
    Rack-Pull Deads (Super heavy)
    Sumo Deads (Inner groin targeting)
    Wide-Grip Wide Knee Deads (Prep for Olympic clean/snatch)
    Stiff Leg Deads
    Romanian Deads
    Split Leg Deads
    Dumbbell Deads
    Suitcase Carry Deads (Need 2 Oly bars)

    I prefer a Trap-Bar Deadlift
