Hey Everyone. I am new to this forum and new to all steroids including TRT. I have decided that my first dealing with anabolic hormones is going to be legal and doctor monitored. The doc prescribed me 200 mg of Test Cypionate once a week, 1000 I.U. HCG per week (two 500 I.U. injections), and Anostrozole two times per week. The whole program is good for 10 weeks and cost me $300. I am excited to start this program. Anyone have any thoughts, questions, comments, concerns? I'd love to hear them! Thanks.

congrats for going about this the legal way..but you are giving trt a bad name. They aren't meant as a cycle. Do you have low t even? If not your doctor is not a smart man

How old are you?
Did you have bloodwork?
Do you have low t?
Why such a large dose each week?
Why 2 x 500iu hcg?
Why do you need an ai? Why at that dosage?

Answering these questions will help determine if you or your dr. know what your getting into.

I am not using them as a cycle. I made the choice to start TRT for good. And yes, my test measured at 410. So I do not think I am giving anything a bad name.

The answers to your questions:

I am 32
Yes, I had bloodwork
Yes, I have low T, it measured at 410.
He put me at 200mg per week to restore me to my optimal test levels to 700-1200. I do a follow up blood test in 90 days and they adjust from there.
HCG is meant to keep the testicles producing natural test and keep them full. I think that is an excellent idea.
The AI is meant to keep estrogen levels down in order to prevent possible side effects such as gyno, mood swings, etc. I think it is 1 mg twice a week, so its a fairly small dosage.

410! And he is putting you on hrt! Its for life! I would just try hcg and get your estrogen checked. Mine was 90

Oh and Rusty, why the HCG Twice a week is because HCG has a half life of about 3 days, so you have to inject it 2-3 times a week to keep your levels elevated

I go between 480 to 600 on 2 pumps of androgel a day. The key is to get your free test up

I'm going to tell you what everyone else here will say.

First you should start at 100mgs per week, split into two dosages throughout the week.

Second 250iu hcg is plenty, 500iu is unneeded and will cause estrogen related problems.

Lastly you should have blood work done in 6 weeks and see if an aromatise inhibitor is needed, before starting one from the get go.

I lost weight. And happier. My unit works better and looks almost like a real one now but my sex drive was def better with low T

I take it you are going through a clinic yes, and not a physician whose a4m certified?
I say this because the dosages and protocol he put you on seems that way. Most clinics just throw all these drugs at you at high dosages and make their bucks!

90 days is wayyyyyyyyyy to long to evaluate. You need to understand every person is different. You will not know if you need an aromatise inhibitor or how much until blood work is taken.
Some guys don't need them, some guys need double dosages. If you just put both men on the same protocol neither would be dialed in an really feel the effects of HRT.

This is why it is advise to start with 100mg cyp a week ( don't be naive and think why take 100 when he prescribed 200 and think more is better).
Most physicians, and almost all specialist will start men off on 100mgs if not lower and adjust accordingly. Many men can hit the top of the ranges for testosterone on this dosage.
Not only that, but with the lower dosage most men can avoid the need of needing any estrogen control in the first place. Ai's aren't that great for you, your hairline, or your lipids. This is why most specialist try to avoid using them.

90 days is way too long, if anything you should test your own blood work at labcorp for $50 using the female hormonal panel to see what needs to be altered in your protocol. Most clinics don't treat you like an individual and this is whats needed, customization.

While on 200mg a week of test you will most likely feel great while taking your Anostrozole, and hcg, but this will almost surely put you above the healthy ranges of testosterone if not double the normal levels. In the long run this is not healthy. Either way if you choose to start with 200mg, split it into two 100mg injections throughout the week, this will cause less of the testosterone to convert to estrogen. Lastly take the hcg at 250ius, 500 wont add much benefit other then giving you some intratesitcular estrogen, which Anostrozole is not so great at controlling.

BTW, I'm 4 weeks into my protocol. I've found that my body takes time to adjust to the higher levels of testosterone. After coming off a cycle, my levels were low.

Every week I would get new terrible symptoms. It isn't like a light switch, it's a gradual change every week.

The same goes now while on HRT. I feel a lot better, anxiety is way down, body fats down, stenghts up, libido hasn't really changed and erection quality is barely starting to enhance. Many report the 2nd month is when effects are really starting to be felt, and the third month is when things start rocking! Then again some guys feel a difference after the first shot, placebo or not.

A couple of comments:
32 is awfully young for lifelong trt. Were possible reasons investigated by your doc?
Most start out in the 100mg neighborhood. 200 mg/ is high and may cause other unwanted hormonal issues.
Most do hcg at 250 iu, 2-3x/week. 500 iu is a large dose and, again, may cause unwanted sides.
An ai is needed by some, but usually not administered until after bw shows high e2. You'd be surprised how many guys create threads regarding crashed e2. Most started an ai without proper bw.

Because i never had a problem with my sex drive. Once you shut your balls off it gets weird

Ugh, wayyyy too much information on here, makes my brain hurt, lol. Thanks for the tips and hints guys. So I looked at my initial blood work and my estradiol was at 22. I dont know what to do about the AI cuz they come in 1mg capsules, so I cant really split them. I guess I could drop down to 1 a week instead of 2? And as far as the test, how can 200mg be a lot to start out with when you got gym dudes doing 500mg and up? Compared to that, it seems like 200 is a fairly mild and therapeutic dose... I haven't noticed any sides from 500 HCG, what kind of sides are there from too high of HCG? I will ask my doc about lowering to 250.

Testoment it all about taking the least amount of test ,ai and hcg and still get the results u desire.

The fact is that you may be on these meds for 40 or even 50+ years!!
