I'm so jealous of this Asian at my gym. He has big muscles, hes 6ft (well I'm same height so not to jel on that), Trains like a freak, and he has some cool has ice picks and hair. And hes a cross fit guy who has agility and balance like none other I've ever seen. Unreal genetics. We had a conversation and he said every single cross fit guy is sauced to extreme.

Of what? I consider lifting to be family bond. It breaches all barriers and brings people closer together. I don’t see race, religion, or where you’re from as a divider. When I meet someone who lifts there is an instant connection and it’s like seeing a long lost relative. You are always able to carry on long conversations with one another even though this is your first encounter. I guess other individuals don’t view it the same way.

When I meet someone who lifts there is an instant connection and it’s like seeing a long lost relative. You are always able to carry on long conversations with one another even though this is your first encounter. I guess other individuals don’t view it the same way.

I'm going to have to agree. for me, friendships bond slowly at the gym. mostly just familiar faces you get to talk to and after awhile, you learn about them. the friendships stay in the gym for the most part. but when I do go, I look for these small handful of individuals.

Additionally, I get to talk to (occasionally) people I would not be able to talk to on the street. nothing in common. but in the gym, I get to tell the skinny kid trainer his biggest obstacle is not in the gym, but in the kitchen. of course, he tells me he eats the right things, most of the time. but after we talk, I can tell this young kid knows nothing about the simplest things, like how many calories he needs to eat each day if he wants to grow.

So it's all good, and if you respect, you will get respect.....
