    Mothers Day

OK yet another holiday is amongst us Men where we need to come up with something original, impressive, inspiring, thought filled gift for the women in our life be it mom, mother in-law, wife etc.

Is it just me or does it seem like it's a never ending circle of holidays where we are having to get something for their significant others? Then you add in birthday, anniversaries and the list goes one.

What are your plans or ideas?

I'm thinking a new apron. Either way I think we are both in trouble.

Completely different scenario but when I was an apprentice there was a bloke who was so thoughtful to his wife.
Any big event (birthdays,Christmas, valentines etc)
He would buy her an household appliance

    Such a nice guy

And what did she get him? Whats wrong with being practical? Hmmm thanks for reminding me, I think we need more vacuum bags. That will work.

Notice how most of these holidays, events it's centered around HER... Just sayn.

As years have passed by, my mother has generated this less care factor towards what she receives from my bro and sister. She is at the age now where she is happy to have our company, and simply have a dinner together. Dont get me wrong i will be sure to probably get her this facial thing and a massage voucher that she loves from this beauty store.

In the last few weeks I've become a self-proclaimed grill master. LOL (But it's true) I'll probably get together with dad and we'll all go out to the lake and cook for her.

Yep....its a conspiracy. Lets see....there are the following holidays...and you are expected to BUCK UP bud.

    -christmas
    -Easter
    -Mom's BD
    -Dad's BD
    -Valentines' day
    -Mother's day
    -fathers' day
    -Sib's BD
    -etc.

IF YOU don't pay or contribute to the above....you are considered an outcast....hence expect the guilt trip
    (either self-imposed or by relatives).

That being said....i'm takin my mom to diner. At least i get to pick the place and hopefully the sports bar i like will have plenty of honey's to look at.

And it's not just wedding anniversaries. First date, first kiss or whatever else she can think of.

Then you get the guilt trip if you dont buy flowers or a gift once in a while just because..... Hell with all the other holiday/anniversary stuff when is there a just because month? Maybe a week or two but you dont have a month without something going on typically,
