    Swap Bananas for oatmeal?

Would there be any reason why it would be a bad idea to swap out a couple of bananas for oatmeal as a morning carb? Currently trying to bulk, but oatmeal every morning is getting pretty boring. Any advice would be appreciated.

Both good carbs, oats are slower digestion source, plus is more complex for its protein and fats.

I would reduce amount of oats and add banana.

    ^^^ YUP

Agree just add a banana to your oats. They are wonderful this way. If you really want to get crazy and basically have desert do this:

1 cup oats (cook with 1/4 cup less water so not runny)
    add 1 banana
    add couple Tbsp brown sugar
    add teaspoon cinnamon
    add walnuts

    YUMMY and HEALTHY

Definitely not comparable carb sources. One is complex, the other is primarily sugar. Do both together!
