1/3rd of US honeybee stocks die over the winter

As some of you may already know there has been a major loss of revenue for honey producers for years due to problems with bee colonies. Now the further recent loss of 1/3rd of the population over just year is taking us to the point where scientist are worried about the effect on plant pollenation not just honey farmers.

My question is do you think that this is one of the unseen causes of GMO usage in the US? I have long been of the belief that we will likley see some kind of unforseen effect with our nonstop manipulation of seed stocks and that this may be one of the first.

100% GMO crops are the cause of this. This can end up being devastating to plant life. We will loose many species of plants if the Bees arent around to pollinate.

Science is destroying us and our way of life. I am all for medical breakthroughs, technology and such, but there needs to be some regulation. These major corporations ie government do not care about our way of life, only profits.

I am glad I will not be around in 70 years.

Article on how GMO corn has almost no nutrients. Its not even food, just filler.

Comparison of GMO and non-GMO corn - the real statistics will astound you!

Was t there some thing about how long itd take, if the bee population was somehow eliminated, for us all to die and the world to become extinct of all life?? Something like that.. Cuz i hadnt really considered the importance of the honey bee before..

Will try and find some articles, but it has to do with the cross pollination of plants, and crops. Not honey. Even though I would be devestated if there wasnt an honey. I love that shit. Its the only sweet thing I eat.

1 slice of whole wheat toast
    Natty P.Butter
    1 Bananna
    Drizzle honey on top.
    Amazing

Bee pollination is responsible for more than $15 billion in increased crop value each year. About one mouthful in three in our diet directly or indirectly benefits from honey bee pollination. Commercial production of many specialty crops like almonds and other tree nuts, berries, fruits and vegetables are dependent on pollinated by honey bees. These are the foods that give our diet diversity, flavor, and nutrition.

Honey bees are not native to the New World; they came from Europe with the first settlers. There are native pollinators in the United States, but honey bees are more prolific and easier to manage on a commercial level for pollination of a wide variety of crops. Almonds, for example, are completely dependent on honey bees for pollination. In California, the almond industry requires the use of 1.4 million colonies of honey bees, approximately 60 percent of all managed honey bee colonies in the United States.

Have you seen the article the MOST honey on the shelves have been heated, filtered and processed so most of the nutritional products have been taken out? They are getting us from both ends.

Yeah there are a lot of down sides the genetically altered crops and some we wont know for 30-50 years from now I'm sure.

We really need to get back to basics and start growing more of our own foods.

Science is just destroying natural selection. It allows for the stupid people to live longer and breed more stupidity rather than dying off
