    Incredible

My pilot light went out on my gas hot water heater and I didn't have a lighter. So I went up to the dollar general store and attempted to buy one of those long nosed ones that are used to light the pilot lights with. Well I get to the cash register and the lady asks for ID! Can you believe it? She wasn't going to sell it to me cause I was under 30 years old. But get this. I could buy all the pressure cookers I wanted. So I ended up going to Home Depot and their policy was over 18 so I bought one there. Crazy...

    What a joke..

    You can drive at 16

You can smoke and join the armed forces at 18

You can legally buy alcohol at 21

But you need to be 30 to buy a lighter? bahahaha

Yeah I turned it off after the pilot wouldn't light and called a couple of plumbers. They wanted 220 just to come out and check it out. 120 per hour and 100 trip charge. So I googled what to search for and how to fix it. Went to Home Depot and bought a thermocouple for 12 bucks and replaced it myself. Now everything works fine again. Got to admit this is one place where the net comes in handy.

Did you have your id with you to show her? In my state if you don't have id they wont sell to you if you look under 45 or something. Im not sure of the exact age but its much higher that the age limit of the item, ie tobacco at 18 or alcohol at 21.

You need ID to buy a lighter if you are under 30, you need ID to buy a pack of cigarettes or beer, you need ID to rent a movie.

You dont need any ID to Vote in a presidential election...... just sayn.

BTW, why are you running around (hopefully not driving) without your ID?

I had my ID but I didn't meet their requirement of being 30 and over. 18 more months give or take till I get there. But since I needed a thermocouple as well and Home Depot was nearby, I got both items there without being quizzed for an ID check.
