    Multi vitamins really necessary?

I was just wondering. I take 2 mega man sport vitamins, vitamin C, and fish oils daily. Are these really necessary or am I wasting my money? Also, do they add more stress on my liver while on a test cycle? I will be adding 100mg of var towards the middle/end of my cycle. I usually start supplementing liv52 when i start the var.My diet is excellent.

Please post a direct link to the supplement Facts. Most Multi's are a waste of money.

Read austinite's "Amino Acids" thread (http://forums.steroid.com/supplement...erbs-more.html). It's a wealth of knowledge. Instead of taking a multivitamin that has low doses of several vitamins and minerals, take the vitamins and minerals separately.

Not all multis have crappy ingredients or low dosed, just saying.

Another advantage of taking vitamins and minerals separately is the ability to adjust the doses and time you take them.

With the exception of potassium, molybdenum, chromium, and phosphorous, Optimum Nutrition's Opti-Men has higher amounts of vitamins and minerals (http://www.fitnessnutritionschweiz.c...0val%20nut.gif).

I like the Anavite more because it gives me a 3.2g of Beta Alanine. Saves me buying that.

I understand. Supplementing separately is definitely more expensive than a simple multivitamin. Personally, I think multivitamins are fine if that's all you can get. Austinite has a more cost effective protocol in his thread too.

You don't really need all the vitamins on earth. I do it because I'm extreme with everything. I should make an "Absolute Necessity" protocol for Vitamins/Minerals.

Lol, I knew you would have fun with that. It brings up some questions though (sorry). It is fine to mix magnesium with some vitamins and minerals, right? I plan on taking magnesium orotate, micronized glutamine, tyrosine, maca, green tea extract, vitamin C, horny goat weed, and pycnogenol together (or right after each other) before bed as per you protocol.

Well you sort of do at the end of your first post. The fact that you are extreme is why I like your protocol though, lol.

It's ok to mix it, the idea of separating it is that it can act as muscle relaxer, and most people don't take their "Multi's" before bed. And the 200mg dose up there is nothing to shake a stick at.

Ah, I see. I think I will take the others about one hour before bed then, but I will take magnesium by itself right before bed.

Austinite...if you had to recommend a multi to someone...what brand would you suggest? Basically for those of us who aren't hardcore like you when it comes to chomping up pills. Right now I just take regular old Opti-men ones...

Interesting, i honestly don't feel like supplementing with more vitamins & minerals. I'll either take the multi or drop it completely and put that money towards food.

To be quite honest, i never cared for multis. The only thing i've ever supplemented with was protein powders, creatine & BCAAs. I bought the multi because i got a kick ass deal on it. I'm not sure if i really care for the vitamin & minerals since i already consume a lot of food.

I personally think a multi vitamin/mineral supp is a must,,,especially with the way people eat these days.
I dont go crazy though. I actually use Flintstone chewables or gummies..1 with breakfast...1 with dinner.
