I don't get your question....
Justice is a justifiable reaction, meaning fair and reasonable. (Calling 911 and having a thief arrested is justice)
Revenge is purposely inflicting some sort of harm as a reaction. (Taking a gun and shooting a thief is revenge)

It depends on the perspective.
Revenge is a personal action. A father kills the man that rapes his daughter, that's his revenge, in the eyes of many and certainly the father, justice has been served.
In less emotional situations, justice is something the Law takes care of.

OK, it looks like you didn't get my message, let me see if I can be more clear. I meant any form of harm. I mean what can be considered a justifiable reaction? Is it anything that doesn't harm another individual? what if words can harm someone.

So I think is still revenge if the daughter castrate the man who rape her.? but probabily those are situation that the law can take care of...
My interest was in those situations that are lighter where the law is not used.

Taking a gun and shooting a thief could also be self-defense, such as outlined in the Castle Doctrine.
Justice is thought of as positive and law-abiding. The legal system doing its job: the police catch someone, the courts try them, the verdict is carried out.
Revenge is thought of more as a negative thing. A selfish act carried out to have your own needs fulfilled for, in your own eyes, having been wronged. Revenge is where we take the place of the legal system.

Another way to seperate revenge and justice are degrees of satisfaction with the end result of either.
it: if the victim and the attacker bleeds out, shes a murderer and her life is over. Here it is to be assumed that the law will do the right thing.
Revenge is often driven. By rage, pure and simple.

No it's not. That's not what I said and that is not my example.
Anyway...
There are a billion scenarios. The point is, what we deem acceptable may not be related to its definition. So if I shoot someone who killed my daughter, to me that is justice. But by definition, that is revenge. How you feel about your own reaction does NOT define the word. It defines your personal feelings.

here are a few different scenarios...... usually justice makes you feel satisfied in the end, where as revenge usually ends up biting you in the a** "at least from my experience"
Justice- Your girlfriend/wife cheats on you, you break up and move on
- Your girlfriend/wife cheats on you, you break up and the next guy she is with cheats on her.... also Karma
Revenge- Your girlfriend/wife cheats on you and you stay with her to cheat on her
- Your girlfriend/wife cheats on you and you sleep with her best friend
