When injecting hcg do I need to aspirate? Another ? Dr prescribed 1500iu twice a week, my pins only go to 100 units so I would have to do two injects. Would it be ok to just do 1000iu 3 times week?

3000iu total?? What's all that for?
No need to aspirate when injecting subQ.

It's for lowt, they gonna try that first before putting me on test. 4 weeks than retest. Do you think it would be cool to do 1000 3 times a week instead of 1500 twice, still getting same amount?

Exact from prescription
Reconstitute vial with 11ml of bact. Water, roll vial to mix- do not shake. Inject 1500iu(1.5cc) twice a week as directed by practitioner.
This is my dr from lowt.com.
Why do you feel this is not the right protocol?Originally Posted by austinite
Even at 1ml sub q, that's a pretty good load. Doc has got your timing set up at twice a week for some reason. If you were doing tes injections I could see 2x a week Day before protocol. I'd just hit two injections 3/4 ml each one each side both of your sched injection days, stays with presc dosage, much easier each site on site, and really that little ol 31 ga. is butter smooth anyway.
the dr is clueless my dr ordered 350 iu 3x per week for 6 weeks...although im doing 400 iu since id have to throw out half the bottle anyway and my syringe doesnt have exactly 350..and he said i could go a little over
Ok thks for replays, I think I'm understanding the situation a little better now. So glad to have this site with all the experience.
Loooool, they call you crazy for nothing. Yea Austin don't like that bad grammar.Originally Posted by crazy mike
How many iu is your HCG vial? Seems like that is why the doc is having you take so much, because you are diluting it so much....Reconstitute vial with 11ml of bact. Water
This is how we do it:
Reconstituting 5,000IU’s of hCG
Use a larger bore (i.e., 18g) needle, and transfer your bacteriostatic water into the vial with the freeze dried hCG powder. You want to inject until you have added a total of 2ml's of solution. Keep the powder and vial upright because you can blow the hCG out of it when you pull the needle out of the vial. Otherwise be sure to draw air out after you push the water in to release pressure each time. Also, make sure to hold the plunger of the syringe when you first penetrate the vial as there is a vacuum inside the vial and it will want to pull the plunger down at an accelerated rate and you don’t want that to happen.

Only need to aspirate while doing IM.
Crap, I'm having a Brain Cramp, I get scrambled with the MLs and IUs....Etc... Lil help plz. I am restarting HCG, have not been using for months. So I have a 10,000 USP units vial and 10ml vial bac, I want to inj 500IUs 2x ew, how much BAC water in vial and how much in slin pin? I want straight dilution, no 50% and then half the inj amount because of less dilution.
10 ml of bac = 10000 iu
50 units on slin pin = 500 iu
50 units is halfway up barrel slin pin or .5 ml
Right on dude ! I can understand.
My vial is 11000iu'sOriginally Posted by Trific
It's not an unheard of amount. Your doc may be trying to get to the bottom of a problem. Certain PCT protocols will call for 2-2500 IU's EOD for brief periods as well to basically jump-start the testies. Reduce the amount of bact water your mixing with, similar to what trific quoted you above in post 14.
I already mixed the vial, I was thinking of just doing 1000 eod for 3 pins than skipping extra day after 3rd and starting new week. But I'm calling dr tommorow to make sure this will be ok, if not ill just pin twice on days I pin. I have np pinning so just seemed like a waste of pin. But they supply them so it's cool.Originally Posted by kelkel
So if dr says to do the whole 1500 tommorow, can I pin 1000 then use same pin to pin the other 500? I know how to pin properly so everything is sterilized the right way.

Not a real good idea because once you pin yourself then the needle is contaminated and has poked two things now so the needle tip is getting dull, poke it in the vial, then you have that contaminated and that's three pokes = very dull.
If you have to and the plunger pulls out of the syringe you could take another syringe and back fill the used one, wipe the needle with your alcohol swab and save the second syringe for the next time.
My syringes cost 13 and 1/3 cents each so is it worth it?
I thought hcg even with bac water needs to be disposed of after 30 days?Originally Posted by Trific
Keep it in the fridge. It will last at least 60 days from what I've read. I've never noticed a difference in mine over time as far as potency but admittedly I've never kept mixed HCG longer than 30 days.
Some load their HCG into syringes and put them in the freezer and don't throw any away.
