Hi everyone. My name is Matt. I live in southern Wisconsin. I am 29 years old, 5'11" and, get this, 387 lbs! Just that information makes people think I am huge fat guy. While I am way overweight, I am not all that fat. That has been a bit of my problem. Because I carry my weight so well, I never really noticed how out of shape I was. A recent trip to the doctor really brought this to my attention.
I am a former college football player for a not-so-well known college. I know that some of my teammates in college were taking supplements, both allowed and not. I was the type to never want to chance getting into trouble so I never did. I also was never higher than them on the depth chart either. Now I am out of college, been at my job for 5 years and realized I am NOT in any way how I wanted to be. I am slowly starting to make other changes to my life, but fitness is one I want to work on.
I came here because I have done the diet/exercise/traditional weight loss/get into shape regimens for about 6 of the last 10 years with only marginal success. At my peak, I was working out for 3 hours a day anywhere from 4-5 days a week for about a year. While that worked and I got down to 275 lbs from a peak at the time of 320, I no longer have the ability to dedicate that much of my week. I am not looking for some miracle change, but just enough help to help me get the most out of what time I will be able to spend.
I hope that is an adequate introduction!
Thanks everyone.
