Another computer problem

Hey guys my dad has a problem with internet explorer 6 with service pack, what happens is when he opens a web page the "microsoft error reporting" feature pops up. Now when you untick the box that says "restart internet explorer" and press the "dont send report to microsoft" option it still closes the explorer/webpage. Now ive reinstalled ie6 but still nothing any ideas? also would it be worth while installing net scape instead if he cant get the problem fixed? thanks.........HITMAN
