I think im overtraining on cycle

Ill just say this as simply as possible.

The last 2 days ive had a flushed face, felt exhausted, my eyes feel really tired. Shouldn't i feel better after 2 days? my eyes still have a tired feeling which is worse in one eye cause i have an eye disease kertakonis (cornea changes shape an i get distortion but its worse when im lifting heavy too often).

im on 400mg test E per week
    .25mg of Arimidex EOD

Was lifting heavy like a lot of people on cycle 4-6 reps but now think im going to go back to 7/8 reps at day 1 of week 6.

    Insight would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a problem breathing properly on resistance. Make sure never to hold your breath.

You'll benefit FAR more from rest than you would from frequent workouts.

Your right, i do hold my breath. I think ive been trying to control my breathing by holding my breath, mainly when i go heavy.

Understood, but im trying to figure out when i should go back to lifting, i've had the last 2 days off resting on the couch, and now i feel fine except for me eyes. I've had this happen in the past an the only way to fix is to not lift.

Even though i dont like it i feel like i should have today off aswell even tho im on cycle. What do you think austinite? Utilize the time i have on cycle or rest one more day before going back to lighter weights with more rest an proper breathing.

Rest another day.. Take it easy at the gym, don't lift too heavy till your eyes feel better. Practice exhaling on resistance with lighter weight so you get used to it.

Believe it or not, aside from holding breath due to pressure, many hold breath because otherwise they lose count of reps, lol.

**** you are smart! you made the connection between my eye discomfort and lifting heavy that i was holding my breath therefore putting pressure on my eyes!! fuaarrrrk lol

Must do it subconciously. I think thats part of the reason i do it to but mainly to concentrate on form whilst i watch in the mirror to make sure im not over compensating one side to avoid anymore muscle imbalance!

When I lift heavy I have a bad habit of holding my breath too. I get super dizzy and I almost passed out. It was really bad when I was doing heavy clean and jerk. I've now trained myself to control my breathing and my performance and recovery is better. I've noticed that when I'm over training I'm not just tired but I don't have much motivation to train. The feeling's similar to when I try to train while I have the flu. Feel tired and slack. Like austinite says, it's better to take some time off and recover so you can go hard again in the gym. Good luck.

Ive got a fire burnin inside me that wont let me feel like not training, unless im exhausted an know it will only make things worse not to rest.

Did back an bi's today went light 10/11 reps 15 sets total, made sure to breath, feel the same as i did before the workout an no facial flushing.

I think it was a case of not knowing what i could be doing wrong to stop it from getting worse, i fixed it today an made light of the fact im over training by not giving into my ego an going lighter.

Thanks mate, most important 10 weeks of my life!

You will find that when someone is lifting fairly heavy and they will start to hold their breath. It is normal even with the best of us. If you try to concentrate on the mind to muscle connection and how you are working the muscle you intend you might be more conscious of breathing.

When ever I start having problems with my training I slow it all down. I think and imagine my lift with the concentration as I said of mind and muscle and it working. I watch my movement not in the mirror but my body, I concentrate on form and I do more reps. Not to worry so much as to moving the weight but how I am moving it.

Simply more thought. I can always go back into crazy beasty mode once I regain control of all I'm doing. ...crazy mike
