As a member who remains "natural" for the time being I time after time fall victim to supplement marketing strategies. I sometimes frequent other boards aside from this one which are sponsored by certain supplement companies and tend to revolve around discussion of the latest and greatest supplements.

I recently have observed the latest trend in supplement marketing is discussing supplement "stacks" in the same manner you would AAS. People typically discuss "cycles" they are going to run of test boosters or muscle enhancing supps fallowed by their OTC AI. They then set it up in the same in the same layout as if you would with an anabolic to keep track of your dosage (3/3/3/5/5). I myself often fall victim to this because it makes the product seem more serious then it really is.

I'm curious as to anyone else noticing this behavior amongst other boards or if you would like to chime in on any bogus marketing strategies you have observed.

lol. What? I wouldn't worry about this. Just educate yourself and learn how to read labels.

Haha sorry that was my attempt at a rant. What I was basically trying to say is that if you visit other bodybuilding forums where they are generally populated by sales reps from supplement companies and customers. You will observe people discussing OTC products as if they were using AAS. Mentioning how they are going to run a cycle of this product, and bridge into that product, and then take this OTC AI starting 3 weeks in to reduce estrogen. I just find it to be somewhat of a marketing scheme to compare the way you dose and run your supplement product to the way one would dose and run an anabolic all to make that supplement look more effective.

Anyways your right all I need to do is educate myself and learn to read labels and compounds. I have been reading up on your threads so that certainly has been helping.

I am assuming your talking about the forums on bodybuilding.com That place is a joke, just a bunch of douche reps pushing crap and they all have a fan base so if you school them, you get negged. I hate that place. I only post in the over 35 section and the workout equipment section.

Bunch of know it all kids over there, nothing more.

Marketing will always develop into more and more creative ways. There really isn't an industry that doesn't market without some level of deception. It's just the way it is. Unfortunately, most consumers are uneducated, so marketing always wins. It's the way of life.

Most OTC supplements are just pure marketing hype anyway.
