Old guy athlete, not a body builder, looking for advice.

Maybe I'm in the wrong place here. Maybe I should be on a different forum. Any thoughts. I'm just looking for some advice on if I should consider some type of treatment. I'm 55 yrs old. I'm not a body builder. I'm a mid aged athlete getting old. I bike, hike, run, and do mini triathlons. My problem is lack of energy and fatigue. (getting old sucks) My blood test came back at 375. My Dr is wanting me to do pellets. He also said I may want to try a few weeks of injections to see how I like it. My friend tell me if I do it, I will likely fall in love with the feeling and once I start, there's really no going back. My Dr agrees. He says "it's simply a lifestyle change". Any thoughts from anybody who knows any older guys going thru the same thing???

    Thx, sparkyy
