Need some advice for training at home

Heya I'm currently studying and I'm kinda broke so cannot afford going to the gym. I ordered some dumbells that go until 25 kg both.

I currently do pull ups using strength routine since I'm working on getting more reps.

I do abs twice a week and I also go jogging 2 times a week in the morning.

I want to build some muscle and loose little bit bodyfat since pull ups work only back, biceps and rear delts.

I'm aiming for 6-12 reps doing 3 sets and they would go something like this: 12 light weight , 8 heavy weight and 6 heaviest weight.

I was wondering what kind of routine should I do since I have only dumbells and I don't own a bench or any other equipment?

Should I do full body routines 3 times a week or do a split workouts combining different bodyparts together?

I did pushups before but got adviced on this forum to focus on actual weights since pushups aren't that good of a muscle builder.

I was in a similar situation. A great investment was a burst proof exercise ball. Like they use in some aerobics classes. You would be amazed. You can use it to bench, to do flys, sit up on it and balance yourself to do shoulder presses and it will cost you like $25. Its cheap and small and a great addition. You can also do the obvious ab exercises using it etc. It really expands the number of exercises you can perform.

What type of routine I should do then with dumbells?

    Full body or splitting bodyparts?

Thats up to you. I did upper/lower body split. You have to get creative doing legs. Lunges etc ...

Ye upper/lower body split would seem good.

Well for legs stiff legged deadlift with dumbells and squats + calf raises.

So how often a week can I do a upper/lower body split?

Split them up. I try to hit each body part every 5 or 6 days. Mostly heavy, with a lighter high rep day every once and awhile to change things up.

Imo its more important to do what you enjoy. So you will stick with it.

I work out at home also and love it.
