    Tattoo ideas ..... Half sleeve

So I'm gathering ideas right now. I'm looking at getting it done around February. I'm going to cover up the tribal band I got when I was 18 :-)

Here's an idea of stuff I like.....

Pretty sick. Just started my leg sleeve. 6 hours in the chair Friday. My leg was like hamburger after 6 hours. Still pretty sore.

I'm going to explain to the artist that I want it to encapsule my delt..... Almost to outline it. Kind of accentuating my delt and trap

I'll pay for the tattoo if I get to pick it. Take a chance on me.

I love Polynesian sleeves. Mine is from the elbow to the delt. I want to go up further around the delt and chest. All black!

I made the mistake of taking it all the way around cause I'm a tough guy ;p) **** that was dumb lol.

Polynesian tribal will not work for a coverup. You can incorporate your existing tribal into it though.

Make sure you onto an artist that does or specializes in Polynesian tribal. Don't go to anyone or expect it will not look like those pics you provided. Look through portfolios and be picky. That style of tribal is very specialized.

I figured because all the other pics were Polynesian influenced tribal that was the direction. You might not want color. But.... Things are much easier to cover with a larger color tattoo. Maybe something to explore. Black and grey is tough, grey will not cover black. So basically with a black and grey tattoo your entire old tattoo needs to be under black. It can work, just can be tricky.

Don't get me wrong..... I like the Polynesian style. I'm just not sure they're for me. I definitely prefer black n grey but I'm not opposed to color in the right design.

Get a tattoo of yourself over your whole body, but only bigger. Hahahaha
Just kidding. I got a bio-mechanical tattoo of sculls and eyes and wiched teeth. They are spaced over my tricep, bicep and shoulder which emphasizes the muscle groups. Try a design of your own taste with curves and lines matching your physique. Tribals are nice, but I tried something different and it payed off.

I have about 11 tattoos. The best ones I have are the ones where I went to a specialist, gave him a theme and then just let him do his thing.

Here's another I really like a lot. Except they would have to contour it to me

And obviously it'd be different but I'd let the artist design it

So I just met with an artist. I ended up knowin the girl that's apprenticing haha..... Small world. $100/hr for the piece

He said covering my existing one is going to be tough as hell. As soon as I give him $100 deposit he'll start drawing stuff up.

I'm excited to get it going but I have to wait until after Xmas to start.

not a fan of tattoos because I think it messes us the physique especially on BB's. so my opinion may not hold water, but for what its worth, I like the one on the left, not necessarily the art itself but the design/layout, it does highlight the delts. I hope you change your mind hehe...

I'm having this or something similar done next. Can't decide if I want it on my chest or back. I'd throw a banner beneath it that says, "In Guns We Trust" or "Guns Bless America" lol
