    Cardio for fat loss

    Hi all.
People say cardio first thing in the morning is best for fat loss etc etc..
But is there any difference if I done it after my gym session around 10am/10:30am..??

I know that cardio before a workout leads to a workout that you can't give 100%.

To me, that is much worse. I try to keep my cardio either right after my workout or 12 hours before. Sometimes both. In other words, my strength training is always first on my effort list and my cardio will always come 2nd to it. If I was training for a run, I might look at it differently, but I am not.

try it both ways and see whats best for you. I personally don't feel like I could get a good session in after 45-1h of cardio.

As long as the cardio doesn't interfere with lifting you'll be fine. Doing it after lifting leaves you fresh for lifting and giving it 100% and can have slightly better EPOC but you're not going to notice huge differences.

The key is to be consistent with whatever route you choose to go. Cardio post resistance allows you to reach the preferred HR faster, so your first 20 minutes aren't running to achieve that precious HR.

In long term, it doesn't matter what you do, so long as you stay consistent. Eventually you'll get to a body fat that's maintainable with any cardio routine.
