I ate 4200 calories on my first cycle. I gained a HUGE amount of fat. So much so that I ended the cycle early.
It was people on forum's (not this one) and a local bodybuilder that told me to eat that much.

Probably about 13 people on earth counted calories and broke down macros for their first cycle. I don't remember details of my first cycle. Ate a lot, gained a lot.

Il be honest... i did put on alot of fat as i had a friend telling me to eat 4000kcals/day

My fault was listening to him.. i dhould have be truthful with myself listened to my body..
Only at the end it really hit me that i had put on several pounds...

So despite the advice given to me, i decided to cut nearly straight after my cycle...

This then led to loss of significant lean mass too!

Loose/loose situation for me it was... But i am still cutting and am around 14% bf

I aim to get down to 10% bf before cycling again next January!

Even when you find your tdee and add 500 calories to it to bulk, it will still take some fine tuning before you know your body well enough to put on size and as little fat as possible. Everyone is different but need to start somewhere that is why you need to find your tdee and start from there. My first cycle was 24 yrs. ago and I am sure my diet was a trainwreck!

Some people think they can eat what ever they way because they are "bulking" but I prefer to gain LBM. IMO I think it's the way to go. Rather than gaining unwanted BF then have to cut a lot. Is figure out your TDEE and get a solid diet in place before even thinking about starting your first cycle

Im gaining few fat even if im at 3000+ cals daily(normally around 4k)

Test really help with limiting my fat gain.

however my cycle is not done yet so I cant tell how much was fat and how much was lbm. but im 17pounds heavier with about 2% bf more. I also retain some water of course.

as long as you eat clean most of it should be lbm.

My first cycle I didn't know anything about counting calories. I just ate a lot, tried to eat as clean as possible but not like I do now. I just wanted to get big my first cycle, BF didn't concern me that much I was tired of being small.

My bodyfat % stayed the same (about 17%). I ate everything in site and put on a bunch of muscle and strength.

I ate, a ridiculous amount of food, obviously didn't count calories like many others. Dunno how you count the weight gain, I did bod pods but don't think they are accurate in this regards especially comparing the first one to the one I did recently. If you count my starting weight without being deflated, and my ending weight without being to swolen up i gained 35 lbs. If you count what I got my scale weight down to, till the heaviest day I had and my last shot you are talking 52 lbs.

Even at the 35 lbs a lot of it had to be water weight, but my shoulders had gotten massive, and I honestly miss that because they are no where near that since I have dieted down. I put on some fat, but I honestly don't think it was that bad, I was already well over 20% bf when I started. and felt like my love handles were worse before than after.

I won't bulk exactly like that again, it was basically all out, anabolic state at all times. In the future I will be smarter about it and have periods where calories are reduced, things are changed, for a number of reasons including insulin sensitivity etc. I don't think i would have done it differently though, I dieted going into it, and there is no way I gained all the fat I lost prior to the cycle by the end of it, not even half of it.

I'm trying to keep my goals straight and finish my cut before I get the urge to get huge and strong again, little bit more to go. Because I really miss squatting 567 lbs and benching 405, jsut ahve to remind myself I can get there again and without the extra fat.

I never count calories. (power lifter) I look in the mirror. If I like i what I see I eat more! I can't remember my last cycle! Whats my name? Where am I? Thank god steroids assist memory! If I can find where I left them! Good luck John

I'm on week 6.5 of a Test C/HCG/Aromasin cycle, on top of that I am also taking Austinite's fat-burning stack. I've noticed an increase in lean muscle and a decrease in fat. I have not measured myself with callipers, nor have I bothered with a scale-- the mirror is the only form of measurement I need.

It was a figure of speech The majority don't, on or off cycle. Most humans are too lazy and/or intellectually unable to comprehend the simple concept.

I gained 60 pounds < Really, no shit. . . . I broke it down to 12-15 of LBM, 15-20 of straight water & the rest as flubber.

It worked out, but not too well. I got big, but then had to lose 45 pounds of shit weight. Did it in 3 months and kept the LBM.

Diet was see food, I seen it & ate it. close to 5k cal per day. I said fvck being small and got big.

13 is probably a little high.

I don't remember either, it was.1991 or 92. The only thing I remember is I didn't change anything about my eating habits. I ate as much and as often as I could and actually didn't gain a lot of fat but I'm not fat prone. I have to eat over 4k calories just to maintain my current weight. Everyone is highly individual in how diet affects them.

I have always felt that "I am bulking up so i just need to eat a lot no matter what it is" is an excuse to pig out. Just put on some quality muscle and eat right. To many puffy people in the gym. I know a lot of guys buying or making home brew are taking crap products, eating poorly and drinking to much alcohol. They just end up getting fat all the while they think they are in a bulking stage, but in reality are retaining water and not putting on quality muscle. Can't out train a bad diet and AAS can only do so much.

If 28 is your age, you can get away with that, but it does change when you get older.

My first 10 week (test only) cycle was done last week. i have gained about 25 lbm, in a few weeks ill see how much of it that is water.
I guess i have gained about 6-8 lbm of fat. i ate 500-800kcal over my calculated TDEE.

    5.7 tall, 183pound (now)

Thanks Okriz was that 500mg a week?

And it amazes me how many of you are cycling and don't pay attention to your diet or gains. Good god!

  31. #31
    I used Testosterone cypionate 200mg e3.5day, so i injected 400 a week.

Many people have no idea what they are doing and does not take this serious the first time they do a cycle.

Thank you for this thread. Reminds me to be one the 13 people on earth who will cycle while knowing exactly what I put into my body.

    Thanks

I am one of those 13!! Of course I spent a couple years on here learning prior to first cycle so thanks for the educations!!! I gained a couple percent because I cut first then bulked during.
