Hey guys,
I'm a 21 year old student, avid powerlifter, and aspiring bodybuilder, and I tore my pec back in March while performing a bench press.
At the time, I was about a 420# bench presser--powerlifting style (hard elbow tuck, high arch), belt, pretty thick elbow sleeves, wrist wraps.
I was experimenting with a more pec intensive movement, and ended up completely rupturing the pectoral tendon from the humerus (type I). The tear was extremely close to the bone and was "pristine" in the words of my surgeon. I had the pec attached, and I'm a little past six months at this point.
Note: I am a life-time natty, and was not using when I tore the pec.
I guess I'm looking for some direction in two specific areas.
First, more generally related to rehabbing the pec: how have those of you that have torn pecs managed to adjust your training in light of a complete tear?
Second, I'm very inexperienced with steroid use, but I am interested in pursuing anabolics in the relatively near future (several years). Do you have any input as to how I should approach anabolics in a way as to not risk a major re-injury to the pec/
I appreciate any input.
Thanks
