    Sleep Aid called Rozerem

Hey guys, recently I've been taking melatonin as a way to try and get a better nights rest. Recently my doctor prescribed me a new, natural, alternative to the nasty drugs like lunesta, ambien called Rozerem. Anyone here have any experience using this or can shed some light on it? Thanks!

I have had insomnia for ever. I've tried almost every sleep drug on market, sleep studies (dr. were fascinated), lots of reserch, I know my sh*t. that said, Rozerem is not natural. it is a pharm drug, it did me absolutly no good. Big side effect can lower T production enough to be mentioned regular in side effects. I would tell ur doc to fu*ck off! Either experiment with large doses of natty sleep aids or find a REAL knock out pharm that works. PM me if you want ideas insomnia is HELL.

Thanks Fritz, that will help a lot of people I think (as I'm reading this in the middle of the night!).
I was thinking about JavaMan - he can't sleep much either.
    Good luck to you -

Nice to see there are others sharing in my nightmare. I've never taken rozerem. At 50, everything turned upside down. Could not get to sleep. After several months, I broke down and got an rx for sleep. I know the dangers, side effects, etc..., but, at this pount, I don't care. Sleeping 6 hrs a night is a god send. Good luck to all my insomniatic friends.

Have you tried 5-HTP OP? It works like a charm for me ( whenever I need it ).

It is no more natural than most other pharmaceuticals, and seems to work much like melatonin (it is a melatonin receptor agonist, so it activates the same receptors).
Honestly, it just looks like Big Pharma figured out a way to sell us melatonin again at a huge markup.

So I guess the concensus is that this is in fact a drug and not some "miracle sleep supplement" like my doctor touted before he handed me some samples. Lol.
