Need help on my macros for cutting please!!!

Okay I have started my cut last Monday and have lost 2lbs (not sure if its all body fat but I do drink exactly a gallon a day, so im not thinking its water weight because I have a lot of water in me.) nonetheless, I wanted you guys to check out my diet and tell me what I need to work on.

    Maintenance: 3452 Calories
    Exercise every day:
Lift for a hour (7 days a week)
30 minutes of fasted hiit cardio in the morning (5-6 days a week)

I want to maintain muscle and build some while burning fat.

    23 Y.O.
    6'1
    201.8 lbs
    14%bf

    Diet so far is:
    270g Protein
    118g Carbs
81g fat (I took 10 away from the picture because I trim all the fat off the chicken breast and bake them)

The more water you drink the less you retain, just FYI.

Is your maintenance 3452 calories? You're in a different league than me so I do not have much input!

    Thanks

Have you eaten at this caloric level for a couple of weeks and noticed your weight staying the same?

U ought to take one day off per week.

3600 is a high maintenance number for a guy with 173lbs lean mass. This is why I asked how u arrived at ur maintenance number. Judging by ur posts im guessing thru a formula. In my experience the formula it looks like u used is usually high ...

you're not supposed to do HIIT cardio every day, it becomes counterproductive. it should be done eod.

dude u know when u run low carbs u will lose water due to the depletion of muscle glycogen? Drinking a gallon of water per day will increase the likelihood that u do not hold water. It will not ensure that u do hold water.

Ur kind of all over tha place. We hadnt established the accuracy of ur maintenance cals (although i think 3600 is too high) and ur already pulling a 180 by running a bulk? Plus according to u 3300 will still have u in a deficit.

3300 will prob be a bulk for u though. Good luck ..

Thanks guys, I did a bmr calculator and it said maintenance was like 3604 which does seem high, I'm thinking the thing was wrong I'm sure my maintenance is like 2900 but I should bulk on 3300 calories I'm sure.

It's all individualistic. The only way to know for sure is to eat at your presumed maintenance for a wee and check the scales and amend accordingly and go again for a week until you get it right. But most people don't have the patience they are too busy rushing into a bulk or cut.

FYI we have very similar stats. I lift 4 days a week and do 2 hours cardio. My actual maintenance is around 3200cals. Now, Mr 405 up above is actually a little heavier than me but his maintenance calories are around 1000 LESS.

    So, literally, go figure.
