Does combining nolvadex reduce the effectiveness of AI's ??

Hi guys,

I struggling with extremely massive off the chart e2 levels.

I added nolvadex so I don't get gyno while I'm adjusting my arimadex dose.

So since adding the 2 together my e2 has skyrocketed. Could this be due to the nolvadex stopping the arimadex from doing its job?

I'm on 1mg ed arimadex and 20 mg nolvadex ed for a week and my e2 levels keep rising and I stopped my test e a week ago (750mg week)

It will never "stop" arimidex from working. Nothing Will stop it. I'm still unclear on this, but I can tell you from experience that if there is any reduction in effectiveness, it's negligible. Something else is going on...

Yeah, I'm really worried about this Aus. Should I continue 1mg ADEX ed or go back to 50 -75 mg ed aramosin in your opinion?

And continue the nolvadex incase of gyno until e2 is back down to around 30.

or you are HIGHLY aromatizing or your adex is total bunk...

there is no way you have high e2(under normal situation), with 1mg of legit arimidex daily...
at that dose you probaly crash it instead.

Crash after how long? A week???? Or would it take a few weeks to get down from 400 to under 20?

Tamoxifen is a SERM; it competes for the estrogen receptor and, as I can imagine, it could cause a slight increase in your estriadol levels. Also, I understand you are just coming off a cycle, where your hormonal levels could happen to stay quite unstable for a while.

There are certain interactions between Tamoxifen and Anastrozole when used together, but it does not make them less effective.

I do allot of bloodwork during and post cycle. I was about 4 weeks into a test e, winny, cycle with hcg twice weekly. I was using 50mg aramosin ed and my estrogen test showed my levels were really high 500 pmol/l so I changed over to 1mg arimadex eod and nolvadex 20mg ed until I got my estradiol back to normal.

My estradiol then shot upto 1500 pmol/l and has been there for a week. My last test e shot was over 10 days ago and e2 is still over 1500 pmol/l.

I stopped the hcg and winnys a couple days ago. So I'm NOT post cycle, I'm mid cycle. I'm currently on 1mg arimadex ed and stopped the nolvadex. Another blood test in 48 hours...

Weird thing is I have no sides?? Nips are fine, libido is ok, erections are strong, not bloated or hold allot of water, lil emotional but prob because I'm really worried how my estrogen is higher than its ever ever been. But I have had most of those sides around 500 pmol/l

But this is my first time using arimadex. I've always used aramosin.

Maybe I just need letro???
