    blood test question

My last blood work was in about October. I was going to get another test in January prior to starting a test-only cycle in February and then again at 8 weeks and finally six or eight weeks after PCT. The tests seem to come in groups.

    Do I need all this:

    -Lipid Cholesterol Profile
    -Complete Blood Count w/ Differential
    -Estradiol, Sensitive
    -Hemoglobin A1c
-Cardiac C-Reactive Protein Test, High Sensitivity
    -Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
    -Gamma Glutamyl Transpeptidase (GGT)
    -Insulin, Fasting
    -Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
    -Luteinizing Hormone(LH)
-Testosterone, Free (Direct), Serum With Total Testosterone
    -Sex Hormone binding Globulin, Serum
    -Urinalysis, Routine
    -Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
    -Magnesium, Serum
    -Thyroxine (T4) Free, Direct
    -Ferritin, Serum
    -Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
    -Iron Serum w/TIBC
    -Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulfate (DHEA-S)
    -Prolactin
    -Tri-iodothyronine (T3), Free, Serum

    OR, is this sufficient:

    -Lipid Profile
    -Complete Blood Count w/ Differential
    -Estradiol, Sensitive
    -Insulin Growth Factor (IGF-1)
    -Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
-Testosterone, Free (Direct), Serum With Total Testosterone
    -Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
    -Thyroid Profile

Thanks for the help. Just trying to do it right.

Personally I would pick the short version. And I would skip the IGF, thyroid, and even the freeT. But that's just me.

Thanks. One thing I know we want to look at is estrogen levels and I didn't see that specifically listed in either group of tests.

Pre and post cycle I'd go more comprehensive.
During I'd check a bit more basic.
    Depends on funding as well....

thanks, Kel. I figure that since I'm spending $4K+ on food, better than a grand on gear and ancillaries, several hundred on supplements, 10 hours a week training, and my health kinda depends on doing it right, a few hundred bucks is no big deal.

Thanks to everyone here, I've finally gotten my diet right (although I screw up out of laziness sometimes). Combining the right diet with consistent training and some tips from the vets has helped me get a lot further than I expected at my age.

I'm doing the recommended 12 week test only cycle exactly as written (except aromasin instead of arimidex). I've messed with gear before years ago without being ready or informed and I'm going to do it right this time.

Just trying to make sure I have my bases covered on everything well in advance; and regular blood work is one of the things that will be totally new to me.

    Thanks again for the help!

Don't pull the age card! Progress at any age brother!
Take a look in the Finding A Doc Sticky for an example of BW as well.

    How's your BP normally?
Make sure NAC is one of your ancillaries as well.

BP (blood pressure?) is excellent. My background, from about 2000-2011 is endurance / triathlon. I cut back my cardio a couple of months ago to really focus on my strength but a 45 minute run is still really easy.

I will definitely be using NAC. Even without any orals, I totally buy into the liver support concept. I'm gonna pick some up from AR-R, along with some 1" pins, but I'm kinda hoping for a Christmas sale. I Already have aromasin, clomid and nolva. Got those before even looking for gear. Supposed to pic up test-e and HCG tomorrow.

Looks like the Estradiol, Sensitive test will cover my estrogen concern.

Need to send a shout out to Marcus. watched one of the HIT videos from the diary and did it this morning. It kicked my ass. My ladies had me on a ladder putting up Christmas decorations after the workout and I was shaking like a dog trying to $hit a peach seed - damn near fell off.

Thanks to all for the great info.

Hang around the Diary a bit. It'll definitely speed up your progress!
