Howdy fella's,
Anybody have any experience or seen any trust worthy articles on whether TRT therapy with test, hcg and adex has any negative impacts to kidney functions? Been on TRT for about a year and my kidneys numbers are elevated and doctor is concerned? Any evidence out there that says definitively trt is good or bad for kidneys???

It shouldn't make any difference.
How much protein do you eat?
How much of your protein comes from whey powder?
Do you take creatine?
Any other meds?

my kidneys were far worse pre TRT, they are so much healthier after 3 years on TRT. BW is the proof.

I take a bunch of otc supps including creatine, vitamins, ect...all nothing out of the ordinary...and i am thinking its all that crap causing the problems....i am sitting at about 225 grams of protein ...i am 185lbs, doc suggest cutting the protein down to 150 max.... I said noooooooooooo way! But this is my gp, not my trt doc....my gp is not supportive of trt...so i dont discuss it with him...but i am meeting with my trt doc next to for check up , wonder what she is gonna say about the kidney numbers and if it will impact my trt therapy...i guess i will find out

Creatine had the numbers on my kidney test all screwed up. I stoped taking it and six week later everything was fine.

^^^^few years back I failed the GFR test, discontinued the creatine and my levels immediately went back to normal. Don't trust the stuff anymore nor did I really ever feel anything other than a placebo effect at best.

I've been taking creatine for about 4 months--started before trt--I love the stuff. Definitely felt more than a placebo. However, if it's screwing up my kidneys, it's not worth it. Going to have to research this a bit more.

It doesn't screw up your kidneys (when used reasonably). It just may temporarily alter the lab values, making it appear that your kidneys are in distress.Originally Posted by NEFLRick

Also if you are fairly muscular, intake loads of protein, and add in creatine I am sure you are aware, that your creatinine levels are going to be high, the egfr is only an estimate based off bloodwork and not a true indicator of kidney function, most of us that train have went through this crap with doctors. I wouldn't stress about it too much, for me my lisinopril even pushes my creatinine higher.
