your friend should reconsider. what i did was to find a local that was willing to go to a pharm there and get what ever i need. no Rx is needed. print out pictures of what he wants, so your requirement is real clear.

if he gets caught, and yes, the post master does randomly open packages, he could get an article 15, or worse, sent to prison!

I figured he might have his package opened by his post master as my ex gf told me they sometimes do that just to make sure the contents are okay. But having a local buy it for him seems much more reasonable and smart

there you go! and if not sure what to tell the local, just tell him that his doctor at home won't be able to send him his meds (always say it's medicine recommended by your doctor) and he must find a local pharmacy until he can go home and get a regular doctor appointment.
