    Favorite pre-workout?

    So I'm cutting back on my coffee intake (16 cups might be a touch too much) and I'm thinking of taking a pre-workout. I'm looking for something that gives me a ton of energy. I've tried PRE and it gave me heartburn. Gasparis, GAT, and Blitzz all three didn't do crap. So you guys and gals have any suggestions?

    Homemade - I got really tired of paying big bucks for stuff out there.

    I make my version of Austinite's pre - ( bottom of first post - http://forums.steroid.com/supplement...erbs-more.html )

    PRE-WORKOUT:
    L-Citrulline Malate - 3 grams
    L-Arginine (micronized) - 2 grams
    L-Lysine - 2 grams
    L-Methionine - 1 gram

    I add 200mg caffeine and a little crystal light.

    I multiply everything times 30, add enough boiling water to make 2.5 cups. I then put it in a water bottle clearly marked that it is dangerous and refrigerate. I take a cup or a shaker cup and pour in approximately 25 grams and add water to taste. 20-30 minutes later you are good to go. (this recipe I use 4 of the crystal light single serving packets that make 16 oz)

    Do not throw the methionine pills in boiling mixture. They taste like complete crap and the gelatin from the pill casing gums everything up. Learned that the hard way.

    My favorite is blitzz but you said you didn't like it. Krank or Mr. Hyde would be my recommend. The more you take the less your gonna feel so keep that in mind.

    I am using NO explode right now.Seems ok I have used IMR and the old Jacked 3d.They were all ok.But with all the coffee your body is used to.You may have a high tolerance too them.

    Primatene (ephedrine) and coffee. Supercharge works for me also, most of the pre workouts, make my head burn and give me anxiety.

    I've tried a lot of the big ones but I'd have to say my favorite are Hemo Rage( the old formula, not the new crap) and C4. Recently I've been drinking about 3/4 of a pot of black coffee before the gym (spread out over several hours) and its great

    Add Taze to the list of preworkouts that don't work. I will say the GAT while I didn't "feel" energy I did get a feeling of "just one more set" that kept coming.

    I LOVE coffee and hard music I'm just wondering if 16 cups of the stuff a day is a little over kill?

    16 cups of the black stuff might be an indicator of why I love clen. lol

    16 cups? Holy carp, that is a pot and a half of coffee. That's if your cups are the measured ones and not like a cup you hold in your hand. I'd be shaking so bad that I wouldn't be able to type on the keyboard.

    That's a lot of energy in a cup.

    Austinite fat loss stack + one scoop jack3d or no xplode+ 10 mg cialis with the shake.
    No crashing, Continuous energy..

    I've crashed on jack3d 2 scoops alone.

    Grenade 50.cal was awsome for me , tastes like vomit though and will make you gag at the thought of it .

    The come down was a occasional headache , and the sides were : hot/cold flush , itchy under the skin sensation .

    But I was able to row / cycle a hell of alot more

    I'm not a big pre workout guy but HEMO RAGE wasnt bad. I would use it again.

    After taking 16 cups of coffee per day, I don't think pre-workouts will help at all. I would eliminate all caffeine for awhile. Adrafinil is a mild stimulate that may work well for you. You could cycle adrafinil and caffeine based pre-workouts every couple of weeks.

    Note that Adrafinil is metabolized by the liver and is converted to Modafinil. If you do have any liver issues, then I wouldn't take the adrafinil. Somedays adrafinil seems to be more effective than others.

    It's N.O. Fury by Six Stars. Fairly cheap. Bottle recommends 4 caps up to 200 lbs. I took 1, just to ease into it and hopefully stretch it over a longer period to save my $$.

    Anyway, I hit the gym hard today. Deadlifts, lat pulldowns, bentover rows, curls, reverse butterflies. I can agree with the marketing: results after just 1 dose. I not only felt like a beast, hitting a point of exhaustion that I haven't felt for some time, from being/feeling more agressive and going heavier. It could have been placebo, but I think I'm going to stick with this for a while.

    Back on C4 after a break from it for a while. Only one that gives me clean energy. Just don't get the watermelon; it tastes like shizt. Icy blue razz is my fav.

    After sitting on my azz in an office all day I need something that works fast and C4 does the trick for me. Was doing coffee, but recently quit caffeine.

    If you make your own you control all that's in it. As far as premixed Ill give a +1 to C4

    Only complaint is after using C4 for awhile you will build tolerance but this is true with a lot of the big name pres

    I really like 1MR, sometimes I'll cut some caffeine and clen into it to add a little extra kick. I've used ritalin as a pre work out too worked for me

    the best home made stack i used to love Jaked 3D until they change the whole formula now its sucks. I feel that they all tamed down every pre workout i tried, even No xplode got tammed down. Its best to do a stack like this

    I prefer jack3d, no xplode, hemo rage. It might be best to cut down on caffeine for a well or two first.

    Muscle spike from muscle fortress is a great one for a pump and tingle.... Allmax nutrition makes one called Razor8, great product when it first came out but it's quickly losing its luster. I like to throw in a little beta-alanine to get that tingle 2-3 grams.

    I bought superpump max (gaspari nutrition) , tried with one scoop ... Nothing . Tried with two scoops ... Still nothing .

    Best ive tried in the last year has been grenade 50.cal , but it mixes terrible , and the taste of the berry one makes me gag ( check out amazon reviews , loads people comment on how terrible it tastes / mixes , but how effective it is)

    But in terms of what it delivers , I get hot/cold sweats , itchy forehead , itchy forearms ( must have something good in it ) ... The energy it delivers has to be one if the best on the market atm

    That itchy is the beta alanine, it's called paresthesia... It's a wonderful feeling!! Be careful with super pump, it's nicknamed super dump

    They changed the formula , super dump was the 'superpump 250'

    On a serious note....It's hard to beat a good old fashion ECA stack.

    Some like it, some don't. If you ever tried the old school Ripped Fuel, Xenadrine, Hydroxycut, etc from the 90's you've had an ECA stack. Sometime back in the early 2000's somebody swallowed a bottle of the stuff or something and had a heart attack so they switched the formula to the ***** product it is today.

    Personally I like clen better for weight loss, but clen doesn't hold a candle to an ECA stack for a preworkout. That being said, many respected members here like ECA for weight loss better than clen so to each his own. However, I doubt many would deny the fact that ECA is better for that immediate "I've gotta lift heavy now or I'm gonna rip somebody's head off" kind of feeling.

    No I never tried any oldskool pre workouts , yeah ive been using clen and its great for weight loss , I hope ECA is as good , like you said people have different opinions , but id be gutted if I done a 2 week ECA stack , and it wasnt as good as clen . But I guess I wont know till I try

    Take the coffee as the pre workout and limit drinking it during other times of the day --> problem solved.

    Well reviews say it is not bad , but I took two scoops the max dose on a empty stomache , and didnt feel any big energy boost

    im trying the Arnold pre workout stuff from muscle pharm...it was on deal so I tried it...it reminds me of the new formula jack3d so its ok...I have however sourced dmaa so im going to take one with it and see how it goes...

    For those who like the original jack3d, Dr. Jekyll is 3 times better. However after reading Austin's threads I'll be moving toward home made. Especially since GNC already pulled it off the shelf. Gotta love the FDA.

    I've found it helps to rotate between stims and PWO for pumps
