Could a tooth infection cause an injection infection?

So, I ended up with a double infection that I'm currently fighting off. I've been using from the same 20ml vial and I used 17mls from this vial without any issue. Last Thursday I did an injection in my right delt and I ended up with some serious PIP over the next few days. I then did my Sunday night injection in my left delt and by Monday morning my right arm was swollen, red and hot to the touch. I went to Urgent Care and they diagnosed me with Acute Cellutius and put me on antibiotics. By Tuesday my left delt started getting infected as well.

Now, I'm VERY careful when I inject and I take every precaution etc. I figured that my gear got contaminated at some point but then I was thinking..... I have a tooth infection from a cavity and I'm curious if it is possible that the infection attacked where I injected because of the open wound? If my gear was contaminated get-go wouldn't I have had issues weeks or months ago? Someone mentioned that sediment could have settled to the bottom of the vial and with such little left it got pulled into the syringe and injected in my body.

Any thoughts? Just trying to figure out exactly what happened or could have happened so that it never happens again. I'm also on TRT so I'll be injected twice a week for the rest of my life so I don't want to repeat this process again.

Sometimes there are events that happen to us in life in which we really need to take a step back and re-evaluate what we are doing. With everything you have going on, it may be time to cycle off the gear and concentrate on getting better. There are always future cycles, but your health is the most important thing.

I'm on TRT so I'm not going to be stopping. Just want to make sure this never happens again.

Are you taking AAS in lieu of TRT? Or is it the TRT injections that is giving you problems?

I was on a blast but I obviously stopped it as soon as I got the infection. It's back to TRT now and I just want to be sure that if I inject again and there is any infection still if I will have another problem. Thanks for your help.

Keep on the antibiotics, if you have not had any issues with the TRT it should be fine. It seems from your previous posts the issue was with the test e injections. Keep an eye on your future injection sites. You should be good to go though.

Considering and infection could be either viral or bacterial. Yes it's possible to get an infection while on AB. Especially since not all AB cover all bacterial infections. Some are wide spread and some are more specific to the bacteria. If you have a tooth infection then both that and the cellulitis are caused by bacteria but that doesn't mean your AB is capable of treating both.

Your tooth infection has nothing to do with your delts. But if left untreated, your tooth infection could reach your bloodstream and cause endocarditis (much worse than an abscess).

My antibiotics are treating both infections but I do have a follow up on Monday to make sure everything is clear.

A tooth injection can lead to a brain injection and kill you. A cavity is not generally a major infection. A cavity left in your mouth festering for years can infect your brain.
